Diabetic Orange Glazed Chicken Drumsticks Recipe



4 chicken drumsticks with skins removed

Juice and grated zest of orange

1 teaspoon ground ginger

teaspoon wholegrain mustard

Honey to taste



  1. Turn on the oven and preheat to 180C.

  2. Place the orange juice, orange zest, ginger, mustard and honey into a small bowl and mix well.  Brush this glaze over the chicken drumsticks.  Set aside to marinate for about 10 to 15 minutes.

  3. Place the chicken drumsticks on a lightly greased baking sheet, place in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes.  Remove from oven , brush the remaining glaze over the chicken and place them back into the oven to bake for another 10 minutes or until the juices run clear.

  4. Remove from oven and serve either hot or cold.
