Diabetic Meg's Muesli Recipe



2 cups rolled oats or barley

1 cup unprocessed bran

1 cup all bran

1 cup shredded coconut

1/2 cup sultanas

1/2 cup unsalted chopped cashews

3/4 cup wheatgerm

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp honey


Optional ingredients that can be added


1/4 cup raisins

1/3 cup chopped almonds

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1 cup plain low fat yogurt



  1. Place all the ingredients into a bowl

  2. Stir well using a large spoon

  3. Allow 1/3 cup per serve
