Diabetic Liquid Breakfast Recipe

For those who simply cannot find time in the morning to prepare breakfast, just prepare this quick healthy breakfast recipe in a glass.

 

Ingredients

 

1/2 cup skim or low fat milk

1/4 cup low fat natural yogurt

1 ripe banana 

1 egg

Equal or other artificial sweetener, amount per individual taste

Ground allspice, cinnamon or nutmeg

 

Optional ingredients

 

Bananas can be substituted with fresh strawberries or unsweetened canned peaches or apricots

 

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients into a blender or food processor

  2. Turn on the switch and blend them well

  3. Pour the mixture into a glass and sprinkle some ground allspice, cinnamon or nutmeg

  4. Drink immediately
