Cancer-fighting Steamed Broccoli with Toasted Garlic Recipe

Broccoli is a well-known super food against cancer.  In fact it is believed that consuming 1/2 cup of broccoli daily can help protect against cancers of the stomach, colon, oesophagus, lungs, prostate, larynx, pharnyx and mouth due to the high amount of phytochemcals, beta-carotene, alpha carotene and amino-sulphurous compounds found in broccolis.

 

Ingredients

 

200 grams broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces

1 tablespoon toasted chopped garlic
 

Method

  1. Place broccoli in a steamer and steam until cooked.

  2. Remove broccoli from steamer and sprinkle toasted garlic evenly over it.  Serve immediately
