Cancer-fighting Salad with Oriental-style Dressing Recipe

You will be sure to love this healthy delicious cancer-fighting salad with oriental-style dressing recipe.  Try out something new, look towards the east and try out this salad with an oriental twist and have more varieties and choices in your cancer diet.




4-5 leaves head lettuce

1/2 cup shredded carrots

1/2 cup shredded cabbage

1/2 cup shredded cucumber

1/2 cup shredded turnip

1/2 cup strips of capsicum

1/4 cup tomatoes, chopped coarsely

1/4 cup shredded Bombay onions

1 tablespoon chopped almonds

1/2 tablespoon sunflower seeds

1/2 tablespoon melon seeds

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

1 tablespoon miso

1 tablespoon drinking water

1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Apple cider vinegar to taste

Raw honey to taste


  1. Chill the lettuce in cold water, drain well and then line them on the base of a salad bowl.

  2. Place carrots, cabbage, cucumber, turnip, capsicum, tomatoes and onions in a bowl, mix well and place in the refrigerator to chill.  Remove from refrigerator and place them on top of the prepared lettuce.

  3. Sprinkle almonds, sunflower seeds, melon seeds and sesame seeds evenly over the vegetables.

  4. Place miso, water, olive oil, apple cider vinegar and honey into a small bowl and mix well until smooth.  When ready to serve, pour it over the salad.

  5. Toss the dressed salad lightly and then immediately serve.

Note:  For those who are suffering from gall bladder or liver problems, do omit the extra virgin olive oil.
