Allergy-free Waffle Recipe

This waffle recipe is dairy-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, egg-free and seafood-free.




1 cup gluten-free all purpose flour mix

1 cup soy milk or rice milk

1 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon rice protein powder

1 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon baking powder

teaspoon vanilla



  1. Place the flour, protein powder, baking powder and sugar into a mixing bowl and mix well.  Add milk gradually and continue stirring to mix.  If rice milk is used, start with cup initially.  Check mixture and if mixture is too thick, add more rice milk. Next add the vinegar, oil and vanilla.  Beat or whisk until smooth.

  2. Preheat the waffle iron until warm then grease both sides of the waffle iron with cooking spray or oil. Pour sufficient batter to fill the wells of the waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy or cook according to the waffle iron's instructions.

  3. Serve immediately.  Makes 2 Belgian waffles.
