Allergy-free Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

This easy healthy strawberry smoothie recipe makes for a great breakfast for those who are allergic to milk or who are lactose-intolerant.  People who are allergic to this type of foods must eat a milk-free diet and avoid not only milk itself but also all foods made from milk, such as cheese, butter and yoghurt.  This recipe is safe and allergy-free as it uses milk made from soya beans instead of cows' milk.  It also uses strawberries which are most children's favourite.

1 cup strawberries

1 vanilla soya yoghurt

2 tsps vanilla extract

1 tbsp honey syrup

2-4 ice cubes

Optional Ingredients

  • Raspberries or Bananas instead of strawberries

  • Frozen fruits - omit the ice cubes and substitute with the same quantity of frozen base liquid to give a fuller flavour

  1. Cut the strawberries into small pieces

  2. Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth

  3. Pour the smoothie into a chilled glass and serve
